Our Mission
P.U.S.H.- Position UrSelf Higher- is a non-profit, faith based organization which is geared toward mentoring young men and women ages 16+. Our goal is to show the next generation how to deal with life experiences past, present and future while maintaining a continual love for God and themselves regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe, “a person's past does not dictate their present nor does it determine their future” unless you let it.
P.U.S.H. imparts from a Biblical standpoint of love, instilling the importance of first loving God and then loving yourself. As mentors of the P.U.S.H. Organization, our intent is always to build up and never tear down striving to be examples of the unconditional love God has shown toward us through our actions not just with our words. Through this method, those who may have never felt the true expression of love are able to gain confidence within themselves and set life standards based on a greater understanding of their own self-worth.
Our organization hosts “Heart 2 Heart” meetings, which allows our members an opportunity to openly express, in whatever manner they need, in order to facilitate healing. We believe there is “Victory in Tears” and that “by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies” many are able to overcome and move on. We know that God wants to use the ashes of our life and theirs to bring beauty to others.
At P.U.S.H. we commit to live transparently in “Victory” allowing others to see through the demonstration of our lives how they can do the same. Our goal is to impart understanding of self-value through the implementation of the foundational concept that “you ARE well worth it”. We teach the importance of purity and valuing yourself enough to “wait on marriage”. And twice a year we, the P.U.S.H. Organization, host a “Promise of Purity” Ceremony for those desiring to publicly commit to abstinence.
P.U.S.H. also believes in giving back to our community and being active participants. We serve a number of facilities in the metro Atlanta area with hot meals, Bible study and prayer. Our goal is to feed those in need with natural food for the body and spiritual food for the soul.
We have found that there are many wounded in our communities and sometimes having a “Safe Zone” to share in other's situations makes it easier to overcome your own. It is our desire that all will come to a place of inner healing, connecting to the strength within themselves enabling them to move forward, whole in heart, fulfilling the will of God for their lives and capturing their destiny.
